CHILDRENS ONE TO ONE WHEEL THROWING

These hour long sessions are focussed and fun and have proved very popular as the sense of achievement a child gets when realising they can form their own pots on the wheel is a joy to see. I give help and advice but also allow your child to explore the clay and not feel nervous if things go wrong sometimes. Throwing on the wheel is unpredictable when you are learning and this is a great lesson for a young person.

Each session is bespoke to your child and I will be guided by you as to how your child learns. If your child is too young to work alone on the wheel they can sit with me and we can use our hands together to start with so I can guide them and encourage them to experience the amazing shapes they can form from clay. Sometimes they just want to play which is also ok. They can choose one pot to be glazed and fired by me or during the session they can paint one of their pots themselves.
